About the forum
Canadian Intelligent Community Forum

How are Canadian communities transforming themselves into intelligent communities? What is the role of broadband technologies within these communities? What are the lessons learned and what are the benefits that a community derives from being named as one of the most intelligent communities in the world?

Nine Canadian communities were recognized globally as intelligent communities by the internationally-recognized Intelligent Community Forum. On June 13, 2007, these community leaders are coming together for the first time to tell their story. Join these leaders as they participate in an open forum discussion. Learn about the initiatives that have placed the following communities in an intelligent leadership category:

  • Fredericton, New Brunswick,
  • Western Valley, Nova Scotia
  • Ottawa – Gatineau, Ontario
  • Toronto, Ontario
  • Burlington, Ontario
  • Greater Sudbury, Ontario
  • Waterloo, Ontario
  • Calgary, Alberta
  • Nunavut
